Endodontics

  Endodontics is the specialized field of dentistry focused on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries affecting the soft tissues inside a tooth, known as dental pulp. The pulp contains the blood and nerve supply to the tooth, keeping the tooth alive.

Similar to human dentistry, root canal therapy is a procedure that can be performed to salvage a tooth's structure when it has been severely damaged. This treatment option is particularly beneficial for preserving structurally and functionality important teeth, such as the canine teeth and carnassial teeth (including the upper 4th premolars and lower 1st molars).
